I had such a fabulous birthday weekend! I got to spend time with friends, family and co-workers & make awesome memories. On Saturday night we had Girls Night Out and I really enjoyed the dancing and laughing that was involved!!
Then today was beach day (hence the picture I took from the most perfect beach day – wind with sun… yessss).
After our beach adventure I was thinking about how when I am at an event I am usually really in the moment of what is going on – any frustrations or worry is usually put on hold until the event is completed. I came to the realization that when I am at the beach, I am super laser focused and extremely present with what is going on. I take in every moment – the joy of my niece and nephew, the way the wind is blowing someones hair, the way the sand feels against my toes. Everything is being taken in and I forget about the things that really “bother” me. It is such a joyous feeling and I have always felt extremely connected to the ocean/beach. I always joke that I was a mermaid in my past life.
I am looking forward to this new year of my life and in the words of Louise Hay I will continue to make sure that “this decade is the best one of my life so far.” I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
